Reade Fahs joined the RestoringVision Board of Directors in 2007.

For the past 22 years, Reade has been the Chief Executive Officer of National Vision Inc. (NASDQ: EYE) — the 2nd largest U.S. optical retailer operating over 1,200 low priced optical stores under the America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Eyeglass World, Vista Optical, and Vision Centers inside Walmart banners.

Prior to joining National Vision, Reade was the Chief Executive Officer of First Tuesday (a European Internet Company) and the Managing Director of Vision Express – one of the United Kingdom’s leading optical chains. Prior to Vision Express, Reade spent 10 years with Lenscrafters where he led the Advertising, Strategy, and New Product Development functions.

Reade is involved with a variety of other optical charities (including VisionSpring, 20/20 Quest, and the Clear Vision Collective), optical start-ups (including Toku), and various other non-profits (including Salus University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry and Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre).

Reade has been involved in providing eyeglasses to the world’s poor since 1991.

He holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from Harvard College.
