Reade Fahs joined the RestoringVision Board of Directors in 2007.
For the past 14 years, Reade has been the Chief Executive Officer of National Vision—a KKR backed company that is the 3rd largest optical retailer in the U.S. National Vision operates America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Eyeglass World, and several hundred Vision Centers inside Walmart.
Prior to joining National Vision, Reade was the Chief Executive Officer of First Tuesday (a European Internet Company) and the Managing Director of Vision Express – one of the leading Optical Chains in the United Kingdom. Prior to Vision Express, he spent 10 years with Lenscrafters where he led the Advertising, Strategy, and New Product Development functions.
Reade is involved with a variety of optical charities (including VisionSpring, 20/20 Quest, and SVOSH), optical start ups (including Ditto.com and SmartVision Labs), and various other non-profits (including Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre and Wilberforce University).
Reade has been involved in providing eyeglasses to the world’s poor since 1991.
He holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from Harvard College.
